Auerbach, 27 October 2025. The international Swiss family-owned company EAO and the Europe-wide construction and service provider Goldbeck have officially launched the expansion of EAO's company site in Auerbach in the Vogtland region. The groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of construction of a new three-storey building that will bring together modern logistics, production, canteen and social areas under one roof.

Investment strengthens the location and creates new jobs in the Vogtland region

With this expansion, costing round 15 million euros, EAO is reaffirming its clear commitment to the region and its long-term future in the Vogtland region. The construction work includes both new buildings and conversions and will lay the foundation for modern and efficient structures. Once completed, up to 250 people will be employed at the site in areas such as manual assembly, logistics, purchasing, quality assurance, industrial engineering and development.

‘The ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of a strategically important project for our company,’ emphasises EAO Managing Director Dirk Hofmann. ‘Together with our partner Goldbeck, we are creating modern structures that optimise our processes, provide space for further growth and create attractive jobs in the region.’

In the future, all EAO customers will be supplied directly from Auerbach. State-of-the-art technology and efficient processes ensure that components and products are shipped reliably worldwide. Auerbach is thus developing into the logistical heart of the company.

Sustainable construction and modern energy concepts

EAO attaches particular importance to a sustainable energy supply. Heat is generated by an air-water heat pump and distributed throughout the various areas of the building via radiant ceiling panels, air heaters and underfloor heating. The new building is complemented by two connecting structures that create a direct link to the existing structures. The project also includes the redesign of the outdoor facilities.

Steffen Rösler, project manager at Goldbeck's Saxony branch, explains: ‘After the ground-breaking ceremony, we will immediately begin with the earthworks and foundations. This will be followed by the shell construction before we start with the technical installations and interior work. Our goal is to complete the extension by March 2027 so that EAO can use the new space for production and logistics as soon as possible.’

Tradition and progress in harmony

As a Swiss family-owned company with over 75 years of experience, EAO combines tradition with state-of-the-art technology and is one of the world's leading providers of innovative HMI Solutions. Quality, precision and customer focus are at the heart of everything we do – for safe and efficient interaction between humans and machines.
