The basis of success.
In 1947, Kurt Loosli Senior together with René Thalmann brought together their typically Swiss values in Olten, in Switzerland’s Central Plateau. This was the moment EAO was born. Typically Swiss: innovation combined with high quality and design standards. Embodying these values has been decisive for EAO’s continuous growth – and is still our approach today, with benefits for you.
Shaping international standards
With precision, an innovative spirit, and fantastic engineering performance, the two pioneers developed high-voltage rectifiers, converters, and transformers, as well as the first illuminated pushbutton. This new idea quickly made waves internationally, though it took a little time to progress from hand-made products being sold to the first fully automated series production and the establishment of internal sales companies. The next development of Series 02, became an internationalindustry standard in 1958 and continues to be one to this day.
Quality and responsibility, innovation, customer focus and motivation are the basis for EAO premium products. By applying this approach we have influenced many international standards as well as setting standards ourselves.
