Swiss precision and quality come together in a well-rounded range of illuminated push buttons and indicators, keylock switches, selector switches, membrane switching systems and emergency-stop switches. They are suitable for virtually every type of application on ships, for instance: navigation, communication, lighting control, passenger access, power distribution, access control, and many others.
Modularity is at the heart of all of EAO’s Series. Starting from the combination option of different front shapes to the selection of plastic, aluminium or stainless steel for front frames or lenses, to individual selection of switching contacts based on number or performance requirements. For example, a stainless steel front can be selected for outdoor use, or the degree of protection be increased to IP 68 by means of a silicone membrane.
In addition to standard components, EAO develops individual control units that are precisely coordinated to the respective customer preferences. From the very first draft, our engineers are involved in the development of new operating systems, present the prototype, and integrate production and delivery in the customer’s schedule.

EAO's emergency stop switches are designed to reliably protect people from injury and prevent damage to machines, systems or vehicles, even in harsh environments and in tight installation conditions. Emergency stop switches with positive opening function (in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13850 and EN 60204-1) primarily serve to protect people. Emergency stop switches are always foolproof. They are easily recognisable by the red lens with yellow actuator or yellow protective shroud.

Keypad.
Durable, functional and safe.
The modules are designed for E1 applications and are suitable for safety-relevant applications in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849. The CAN bus connection ensures an intelligent and free programmability. The robust, modular design with sealing levels of up to IP6K9K according to DIN ISO 20653 and the ability to customize and individually select and arrange the keypad legends make these high-quality devices ideally suited for harsh use in heavy duty and special vehicles.

Series 09 Protective Shroud
The robust and shock-resistant Series 09 Protective Shroud not only provides reliable protection against unintentional actuation and operating errors, but also serves to comply with specific standards in various areas of application. For example, the EN1501-1:2021 standard requires all control and monitoring units on the outside of garbage trucks to be secured against accidental actuation or contact. The new Protective Shroud of Series 09 separates the individual push buttons. The additional guidance of the fingers makes it easy to operate the desired function even when wearing work gloves.
