We are continuously expanding our competence centres for development and product maintenance within our core activities of electronics, mechanics and firmware. At our Auerbach location, we focus on the automotive, heavy-duty special vehicle, truck and bus sectors. At our Olten site, we focus our expertise on the railway sector. However, there are many connections between the centres of excellence.

Building on solid foundations to enter new worlds.
EAO can build on more than 75 years of success and therefore has strong roots. On this basis, EAO is preparing itself on various levels for a successful future with our customers. This includes innovation and product development, but also along the operational value chain. In the area of EAO Operations in particular, EAO is currently undertaking the largest projects in its history, with more to come in the next few years.
Establishment of a logistics hub and expansion of production capacities in Germany.
In order to pool resources and expertise, eliminate duplicate structures and consistently align the organisation with customer benefits, EAO is significantly expanding its site in Auerbach. Parts of its production and operational functions are being transferred from the headquarters in Olten to the site in Auerbach. At the same time, a central European logistics hub for the entire EAO Group is being created at the Auerbach site, from which all deliveries to our sub-hubs in Asia or the USA and to customers will be made. The strategic functions, a competence centre for product development, relevant assemblies in the railway segment and the production of switching elements will remain in Olten. In Auerbach, on the other hand, the number of employees will double, new premises and new job profiles will be created, and the existing business area will be expanded to include additional units that are central to EAO. EAO's values play an important role in the implementation of this transformation project.
Strengthening EAO China.
China has one of the largest railway markets in the world. EAO has been active here for many years. However, in order to respond flexibly to Chinese customer requirements, our existing location is being further expanded in terms of content and resources.
EAO China will continue to operate as a production site for relevant assemblies for the entire EAO Group, but in future will also develop, manufacture and distribute its own local products exclusively for our Chinese market. In addition, the newly established logistics hub will play an extremely important role in the logistical handling of all activities for the entire Asia-Pacific region. Working hand in hand with the headquarters in Olten, a relevant pillar for the entire EAO Group will be created in China over the next few years.
