Series 82 offers vandal resistant and simultaneously visually appealing push buttons for use in tough environments. The push buttons with robust metal housing will also withstand very heavy impact, making them ideal for applications in machine-building.
You can choose between designs with momentary or maintained action as well as with or without LED illumination. For the illumination, you can choose between single- or bi-colour LED and modern ring-or point-illumination. The switching elements are provided with silver-alloyed contacts or additionally gold-plated, which is ideal for reliable switching of low voltages and currents.

Overmoulded, IP67 protection and vibration-resistant connection options – for an extremely resistant HMI connection.
It is common to expose push buttons and indicators to extremely harsh operating conditions. For example in the food and beverage industry, where alkaline cleaning agents and corrosion severely affect HMIs. In addition, external factors in the form of hard-to-remove dirt, fine dust, along with severe vibrations and blunt impacts also require HMIs to offer a very high level of resistance. The Series 82 offers product variants that meet these high requirements even better thanks to an overmoulded rear side, IP67 protection and the vibration-resistant connection options.
The robust, overmoulded push buttons are available as a version with a direct M12 connector or as a version with cable connection. The cable version with M12 connector is intended for use in machinery and is impressively robust and easy to mount. The cable version with tin-plated cable though offers R118 certification, making the product version ideal for applications in heavy-duty or special-purpose vehicles.

Switching in corrosive environments.
The foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals industries require the use of highly alkaline cleaning agents to remove organic impurities that can cause bacteria and fungi to germinate. After all, foodstuff and medical products must never be contaminated. The plant equipment, machines and other control units used in these sectors must be able to withstand such cleaning agents.
The 316L push button from EAO meets this requirement brilliantly. The new metal fronts made from 316L stainless steel offer fantastic protection against corrosion. Illuminated versions are equipped with a robust Tritan optical fibre. The 316L version is also excellent for maritime applications as the push button is resistant to salt.
