This means that passengers can quickly see from a distance whether a toilet is available, occupied or out of service. This avoids unnecessary waiting and long periods spent searching for toilets. In the event of a fire, rapid recognisability of the alarm pictogram is particularly important, and passengers benefit from this as well as many other notification applications.

Universal switch.
Reliable, intuitive and tactile.
Perfect for public buses and coaches: the Series 56 universal switch is quickly visible from all locations thanks to its clever LED illumination, large operation area, various front bezel colours, and laser symbols. Combined with a distinctive click, this intuitive button offers excellent user comfort.

Multi-sensory feedback
Green illumination signals that the universal switch is ready to use. As soon as the switch is pressed, the operator receives multi-sensory feedback by means of the acoustic and tactile click and the clearly visible red LEDs (in addition to the green illumination).
Standard or customer-specific laser symbols
You can have various standard, ISO 7000, or specific symbols lasered onto the grey anodised symbol inserts in black. The design can be implemented quickly and easily depending on the application, combined with various front bezel colours. There is also the option of adding lenses without symbols.

Multi-Tone Sound Module.
Compact acoustic warning.
Multi-Tone Sound Modules (MTSM) acoustically warn people of hazards, especially in public facilities. Examples include closing automatic doors in trains and lifts, pedestrian crossings, security and access systems, vehicles and machines, as well as building technology.

When opening and closing doors in public transport, safety comes first. This also includes accessible applications, whether for passenger access on trains, trams, bus or public emergency call and help points (call for aid). Users can rely on Series 57 acoustic and visual warning at all times and wherever they are.

The MTWI brings together in one device two HMI Functions already well-established in the rail industry: the Series 56 multi-tone sound module and Series 57 visual warning indicators. The result offers increased safety on public transport, particularly for people with impaired vision.

When opening the train door, (externally triggered) green LEDs light up or flash. At the same time the door opening signal sounds to provide acoustic signalisation. As soon as the door closes, the red LEDs light up (or flash) and the door closer signals can be clearly heard. Various LED colours and combinations are available in this regard. For emergency-call voice announcements, there is a version with a passive speaker module that you can connect to an external signal source with an amplifier.
