Recommended Protection Circuit: If the buzzer is not indirectly protected against surge impulses via an EMC-compliant power supply unit, an additional protective measure is recommended. In this case, a bidirectional TVS diode should be inserted between the connecting wires as close as possible (< 10m) to the buzzer, as shown in the circuit diagram above.
