The panel contains Series 71 pushbuttons that activate the sirens and flashing lights on a police car. The switches were chosen for their flexibility. The front design may be changed without impacting on the PCB.
The switches feature detachable, snap action contact blocks, which can be mounted direct to the PCB, thus reducing the risk of wiring errors and bad contacts. The switches can be quickly and easily snapped off the contact blocks for ease of maintenance.
