EAO will cease production of the Microcosmos miniature tact switch on December 1st, 2008, after more than two decades in production.
All parts will be discontinued and no spares will be offered beyond this date. EAO does not intend to offer a substitute for this product.
The last opportunity to place an order with EAO was on September 1st, 2008, however there may be very small residual stocks at distributors.
A decision was taken to end the product’s lifecycle following a downturn in demand for this technology in 2005. The end-of-life process began in 2006, and during the last two years stocks in the subsidiaries have been gradually run out.
EAO would like to thank customers of the Microcosmos for their understanding. It hopes they will continue to find the products they need from the wide range of expertly designed, Human Machine Interface components.
