Environmentally sound Series 44 from EAO meets latest RoHS directive

EAO, the expert partner for Human Machine Interfaces, clearly illustrates its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its products with its Series 44 range of industrial control switches, which meet the latest RoHS directive restricting the use of hazardous substances in electronic equipment.

EAO customers can be assured that the plastic and contact materials of the Series 44 range of 22.5 and 30.5mm switches are free of potentially toxic cadmium based pigments. In addition the actuators, front/base adapters and switching elements of the Series 44 are halogen free.

Quality and reliability is guaranteed with EAO’s Series 44. The robust range is protected to IP65 from the front as standard, or alternatively for additional protection against extreme environmental conditions, the Series 44 can be fitted with a protective silicon cap for a fast and simple upgrade to IP67. The Series 44 will resist high levels of shock and vibration which makes it well suited to many applications in the machinery, process-control, panel building and lifting and moving markets.

The Series 44 range is rated at 500VAC (10A) and features screw terminals with openings to guide a screwdriver, thus ensuring safe handling of terminals under all working conditions. The switching elements feature high-quality, gold-plated silver, self-cleaning, double-breaking spring contacts, which are stackable.

The highly modular Series 44 range includes illuminated and non-illuminated pushbuttons and indicators, interlocking pushbuttons, Emergency-stop safety switches, joysticks, potentiometers and rotary and keylock switches, available with a broad selection of accessories including protective front rings, protective caps, blind plugs, enclosures and legend plates.
